M.G. Reid was born in Peterborough, Ontario, and currently lives in Warkworth, Ontario with his beautiful wife, Grace; and their dog Angus. It was after an unexpected loss of his job that Mark sat down to write. He had a dream about a star going super-nova and it affecting the people of earth, this led to his first novel. Discovering a passion for writing, Mark is continuing on with his new novel, Daggers of Fate.

George Tate's future unravels when the world as he knows it changes forever. When a neighbouring star goes supernova wreaking havoc on the Earth, George and a group of survivors must persevere in this new dystopian future. The majority of humans have been changed into cannibalistic ghouls; and that threat along with marauders and raiders threatens their very existence. When called upon, his group must rescue the scientists who are working on a cure. Follow George with his amusing outlook and clever anecdotes, through his adventures against all odds in the fight towards a brighter version of this new future.
